Somnea makes music that reflects how he actually processes things.

It’s not mindlessly loud, and not overly sentimental. Most of it comes from sitting with something longer than most people would.

Somnea grew up on rock and metal before moving toward hip-hop, so his music tends to blend distortion with atmosphere. He plays and produces everything himself, which gives him the space to build songs in a unique way.

A few years ago he had to step away from music due to surgery. That time changed how he approaches everything. He chooses to move slower, more intentional, and doesn’t rush releases. “It’s not for the void.”

The goal isn’t to impress people.
It’s to make something that feels genuine.
